The route

Along the Rhône, into the Valais.

We hug Lac Léman past Lausanne, then turn inland at Martigny where the valley narrows. The road climbs quietly through Sion and Sierre before the final leg to Täsch — Zermatt itself is car-free, so we hand you to a pre-booked train-shuttle for the last five minutes.

Good to know for Zermatt.

Car-free village

Zermatt bans combustion vehicles. We stop at Täsch and hand you to a pre-booked rail shuttle — included in every quote.

Winter conditions

November through April, every vehicle runs studded winter tyres and carries chains. We follow the live MeteoSwiss feed.

Best pickup times

Arrivals before 6 a.m. or after 2 p.m. avoid Lausanne traffic. We’ll flag any busy window when you book.

Ski equipment

Up to eight ski bags fit the V-Class with the internal rack. Twelve skis travel comfortably in the Sprinter 14.

Route FAQ

Asked about this route.

Is the train transfer really included?

Yes — we pre-book and pay the Täsch–Zermatt shuttle for every party. No queues, no extra ticket.

How early should I leave Geneva?

For a lunchtime lift, 08:30 pickup is comfortable. In heavy snow conditions, we advise adding 45 minutes.

Can we stop for food on the way?

Of course. Your driver can recommend a quiet Valaisan rôtisserie near Sion. Stops under 30 minutes are at no extra charge.

Do you operate in blizzard conditions?

We follow cantonal advice. Should the A9 close, we re-route via Simplon or postpone free of charge — your call.
